If you find yourself being ransomed by a Corsair you can be assured it will always be honored, with the following conditions: 1) If after ransom payment your ship/pod is destroyed you will be refunded for the value of destroyed items. Unless under certain circumstances where you have violated one of the other conditions. 2) If after ransom payment you re-initiate hostile actions and your ship is destroyed, the ransom payment will be retained. 3) If after/during ransom negotiations other hostiles show up to the fight, and your ship is destroyed, any ransom payment will be retained. 4) After ransom payment you are free to go about your business, however should you choose to continue the activity you were previously engaged in, you are subject to further aggression and may be ransomed again. This is subject to negotiation with your assailant, and an agreement of non-agression for a specified period may be negotiable.
